Dear 12th Grade Parent,
I hope this note finds you safe and well! Governor Murphy has ordered that all schools close for the remainder of the year due to the Novel Coronavirus Pandemic. Remote learning will continue for all students and are absolutely devastated for the Class of 2020 graduates. It breaks our hearts that your child has to finish the year this way and lose their prom and other senior class activities. Please rest assured that refunds will be distributed to you in due time.
However, first, appointments will be made for seniors to pick up their:
- Caps and gowns
- Yearbooks
- Locker contents
We will also be asking seniors to bring in:
- Books they may have at home from previous years or from from this year that they don’t need for instruction
- Assigned Yondr pouch
- School-issued mobile tablet (If they have one)
- Old uniforms they can donate as rentals for next school year
- Sports uniforms and/or equipment
Graduation remains June 25, 2020 at 6:30pm via virtual ceremony. A link will be shared with you as the date draws closer. We are asking seniors to decorate their mortarboards/graduation caps, as we will have a decorating contest. We will also be sending ways for students to submit videos of themselves doing the #DontRushChallenge and the turning of their tassels.
Please note that students may have outstanding balances for lunch, books, Yondr pouches, and uniforms rentals. We will look at this later in June but first want to focus on having the best possible ceremony we can have for our seniors under these unprecedented circumstances.
