We hope you are finding ways to enjoy your summer (safely!). We are already looking forward to seeing you in-person and/or remotely in September. And, as you well know, one of the key ways your teachers express their love and care for you is by giving you opportunities to stretch your minds and to keep growing into the amazing young adults you are already becoming and who will do great things in the world. So, here is a list of ways you can keep your minds active over the rest of the summer and start September off strong:
- Summer Reading: For this year's Summer Reading assignment (see attachment below), you can choose the book you wish to read and check it out from the school's online library. Download the Sora app, login, and check out a book that appears in the Summer Reading 2020 collection. Your login is your student ID and your password is the first four digits of your student ID. (For example, if your ID is 2020123456, your login is 2020123456 and your password is 2020.)
If you are a new student or don't know your student ID, email Ms. Chenelle ([email protected]) to get your login information.
- iXL: Keep what you learned in English or math this past year fresh or preview and practice skills you will learn next year.
- Khan Academy: Take free online lessons in math, science, economics, finance, arts, history, computer programming, and SAT prep.
- Duolingo: Visit the website or download the app to learn Spanish, French, German, Italian, Russian, Portuguese and more through games and interactive lessons.
- Codeacademy: Learn how to design your own apps and websites.
Stay well, everyone!
