School Closure & Re-Opening Update

Out of an abundance of caution University Academy physically closed today because an individual in our school was exposed to COVID-19. UACHS remote learning continues from home for today Thursday 11/12 and Friday 11/13 and a deep cleaning of the school is currently taking place. The school closure has allowed the Department of Health to conduct school-based contact tracing and all proper identification and notifications have been made to anyone who may be impacted.

School is scheduled to re-open for in-person learning on a Hybrid A/B Day schedule this Monday, November 16, 2020 for the University Cohort A (Last Name A-I). Students in the Academy Cohort B (Last Name J-Z) will report to school on Tuesday, November 17, 2020. Please be sure to download the UACHS App from the App Store or Google Play to access our COVID-19 Screening Tool and submit the questionnaire every day, have temperature checked, wear a mask, and keep 6ft social distance before entering the building. A FAQ memo will be sent to students with more detailed information.

According to NJ state regulations, parents/guardians have the option to keep students on remote learning beyond November 16.
