A brief description of the drone classes:
This course is designed to provide students with an interactive approach to applied Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics. The course is project-based and focuses on collaboration among team members to accomplish a stated goal. It includes safety and liability considerations as well as FAA/AMA regulations and guidelines. The course covers the design and printing of parts using 3D printers, the physics and mathematics behind the design, and an introduction to transmitter and reception setups on multi-rotor drones. It also delves into “Ground Station” monitoring of drones. Additionally, the course involves computer programming and the setup of Fully Autonomous Autopilot (APM) on multi-rotor drones. Students will acquire skills to be successful in advanced college courses and related careers.
