All About Ms. Prout
My name is Ms. Maegan Prout, and I teach English II, Play & Performance, as well as Professional Writing & Presentation.
English II: For English II, students perfect their reading, writing, and critical thinking skills by focusing on a specific theme for each quarter. Pupils will be expected to write a variety of pieces that range from essays, monologues, plays, to short stories. The goal is for youngsters to leave my class feeling that they have grown as readers, writers, and thinkers.
Play & Performance: I am exceptionally excited about the opportunity to teach this course. I love acting and the dramatic arts. For this class, students will perfect their acting skills by understanding how to have correct stage presence, projecting their voice, using their body to portray emotion, and allowing themselves to be free to express their inner being on stage. The goal for this class is for students to see the joy of working together, delving into different characters, and increasing their confidence on stage.
Professional Writing & Presentation: For Professional Writing & Presentation, the focus is on students growing as readers, writers, and public speakers. Reading and writing go hand in hand, and in order to help pupils advance in this course, it is essential to read a variety of works and analyze how writers construct their pieces. The goal for this class is for students to find their own voice and express it in written form.
